500kW Solar Installation, VSBA Schools

The Brief

The VSBA School Bundle for 2023, initiated by the Victorian Government through the Department of Education’s Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA), involves the installation of solar panel systems in five schools—Camms RD Primary School, Wollert West Primary School, Hayes Hills Primary School, Officer Rix Primary School, and Merrifield West Secondary College.

The Solution

KUGA was allocated a 500kW bundle for this project, utilizing Trina 450 panels and a Sungrow C110CX inverter. The project, completed within 5 months with a budget of $308,500.00 excluding GST, adhered to the VSBA’s Solar Power System Performance Specification guidelines. The initiative aims to enhance energy efficiency in schools, reduce energy consumption, and lower energy bills, with an estimated annual solar generation of 419.65MWh and a carbon dioxide savings of 425.7 tonnes.
