Kuga Electrical collaborated with the managing agent CBRE: Commercial Real Estate Services to implement a solar energy solution on the car park roof of the DFO facility. The facility required a sustainable energy solution and aimed to install 200kW of solar capacity to address the client’s energy needs.
The installation process involved connecting two 99kW solar systems into different subboards, each with a separate connection to the grid. The strategic approach allowed the KUGA to make two separate Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) claims. By leveraging this method, the overall investment for the client was significantly reduced. This resulted to 232MWh of annual solar generation saving them 231.77 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The facility now significantly reduces their dependence on conventional energy sources, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly operation.
