The Brief

Catholic Education Melbourne oversees 290 primary schools in the Melbourne region. As part of an energy efficiency initiative rolling out across their education network. They installed a 100kW solar system in Melbourne’s outer West, using 450W Half Cell EGing panels known for their warranty and performance.

The solar install has been registered with “Solar Schools,” which provides the monitoring and funding to schools that install solar. The live production data is used to educate students on renewable practices and the benefits of solar energy.

The Solution

The result, 83.93MWh of annual solar generation, saving 85.14 tonnes of carbon dioxide. Catholic Education Melbourne’s move towards sustainability sets a great example for schools embracing renewable energy.
