100kW Solar Installation, Ellinbank VIC

The Brief

The Ellinbank Dairy Research Centre, situated in Gippsland, Victoria, faced the challenge of optimizing its energy consumption to enhance profitability and sustainability in dairy farming. The traditional energy sources were neither cost-effective nor aligned with the goal of becoming more environmentally friendly.

The Solution

To address this issue, the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions engaged in a tender process, awarding KUGA the opportunity to implement a cutting-edge solution. The installation of a 100kW solar power system, comprising Sunpower 480W panels, coupled with a 102kWh Alpha Storion T30 battery storage system, emerged as the ideal sustainable solution. The system has an average of 411.31MWh daily generation.
